Klezmer Youth Workshop

Learn how to play Klezmer, the traditional Jewish dance and celebratory music of Eastern Europe.  

In this eight-week program, we will listen to and learn how to play the music of this rich artistic heritage. We will meet once a week from 5:30–7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays starting July 6 in the lower parking lot of Congregation Mishkan Israel. 

Rain dates are Wednesdays. If the rain is light, we will practice under the awning.

AGes + Prerequisites

These workshops are open to musicians in middle school and high school. You need to be able to play an instrument and have some music reading skills. Bring your instrument, a music stand, and a chair. 

Cost

$120 for all eight sessions, or $25 per session. Payable by check or PayPal.
